My senior practicum I directed, shot, and edited with my friend Daryl. You won't find these in Iraq, but you may find them oddly hilarious.
During the production of this sketch comedy movie, Daryl and I promoted it by having facebook users vote on their favorite potential movie title in a March Madness-style grid. The prize? A date with us. Our friend Andrew won, but he refuses to receive his reward.
Ode to a Woman
The idea for this music video came to me because my mom jokes that I only ask her to make me sandwiches because I don't want to. But I insist, she makes them better than I do!
Girlfax.com
We would have shown the actual website in this video, but it would have proven that our four years of tolerance training in college were of no effect.
Potatoes
Here's hoping you'll never look at mashed potatoes the same way again.
Wizard
And this is what the main character dresses like when he's not on screen, too.
Bum
For this scene, we burned holes in a sweatshirt, stained it with tea, coffee, ketchup, and chocolate, soaked it in beer, and rubbed burnt cardboard on Daryl's face. Try as we might, he's still the most clean-cut homeless guy around. He attempted to solicit money from several passers-by, with no takers... except one old couple who was just about to spare him some change-- then I called his cell phone and we talked stocks, abruptly turning the sweet elderly folks away.
